Not a tour. Not a charter. A private navigation experience aboard a classic full-keel sailing vessel operated under strict standards of seamanship, silence, aesthetics and technical integrity.
From October through June, a limited number of departures are opened exclusively for families and private groups seeking a refined and authentic day at sea in Loreto.
Classic SV, Bronze fittings. Freshly prepared local food. Glass and silver onboard. Zero plastic. Free-diving equipment included. A professional crew with decades of real maritime experience.
Only two daytime departures per week. Only one overnight expedition slot available per week.

A rare classic sailing yacht from an era when offshore vessels were still built with proportion, displacement and permanence in mind.
The Eastern 38 belongs to a generation of true sailing yachts often described by experienced navigators as “small ships” true world cruisers rather than recreational fiberglass boats.
Its full-keel displacement hull provides a markedly different experience from modern lightweight racer-cruisers:
Combined with a shallow-draft configuration, the vessel is exceptionally suited for protected navigation and anchoring throughout the waters surrounding Loreto and the central Sea of Cortez.
This is not a production charter platform. It is a privately maintained classic sailing vessel restored under traditional naval standards.
The onboard atmosphere reflects that philosophy:
LEONIX the vessel's name was born from the combination of my two son's names
León & Fénix
( Lion & Phoenix )
Who´s rough landing into this world could be chatted
while under sail.
The vessel operates under a strictly limited seasonal calendar.

International SV Yacht Master. Former Mediterranean regatta sailor. Professional NAUI, PADI, SSI, CMAS Scuba Instructor with more than three decades of maritime field experience.
This operation is directed personally and maintained under a philosophy of technical custody, traditional seamanship and operational sovereignty.
The objective is not volume. The objective is precision.

This is not a commercial party boat.
The operation is intentionally restricted to preserve:
Only selected dates are opened each season between October and June.
Every departure remains subject to weather, wind and navigational conditions.
The sea determines the route.

A strict onboard environmental protocol is maintained.
The Sea of Cortez deserves operational respect.
Cool air, long sunsets and clean winter light. Ideal for quiet sailing, traditional navigation atmosphere
and protected island anchorages.
The calmest and most luminous period of the year. Soft seas, migrating marine life and exceptional
visibility throughout the Loreto National Marine Park.
Stable weather, longer sailing windows and warm turquoise water. An ideal season for full-day expeditions,
free-diving and slow navigation.
The final seasonal window before summer. Golden light, warm evenings and longer offshore passages
under sail.
Only selected dates are released each season.

Departures are intentionally limited. Each voyage follows weather, sea state and seasonal conditions
rather than fixed tourist routes. Depending on the day and conditions:
Included onboard:

and life at sea aboard a classic sailing vessel.
After departure, the vessel sails toward selected bays and island anchorages within
the Loreto National Marine Park according to weather and sea conditions.

The return navigation begins later in the morning, arriving back at port approximately 24 hours after initial departure.
Only a very limited number of overnight expedition dates are released each season.

Because the operation is intentionally limited to a small number of departures each season, all expeditions
